The Accounting Officer is responsible for providing timely, accurate financial information conforming to accepted accounting principles to support achievement of Company objectives.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT
1. Prepare timely accurate financial statements.
2. Provide weekly, monthly, quarterly reports to departments and management as requested.
3. Ensure that all quarterly and yearly taxes are paid on time.
4. Update budget numbers.
5. Generate period budget comparison reports.
ACCOUNTING AND BOOKKEEPING
1. Calculate and enter period end and fiscal year end journal entries.
2. Review general ledger account balances for accuracy. Research and solve discrepancies or problems.
3. Review monthly financial reports for errors; research and correct.
4. Interface with finance department regarding procedures, issues, and concerns that affect the accuracy and timeliness of financial statements.
5. Provide backup support as needed in any area of bookkeeping.
SUPERVISION & TRAINING
1. Prioritize department workflow when backlog occurs.
2. Organize and assign tasks in an efficient manner.
3. When necessary and appropriate, researching outside services to improve efficiency and costs.
4. Train or coordinate the training of department staff.
5. Assist in developing and updating department procedure documentation, training, and job descriptions.
Qualifications: MUST BE A CPA
